Evening Routine with Kennedy Haffner + Copina Co. Cacao Calm Beauty

Meet Kennedy Haffner! You might know her as @thehealthyhaff on Instagram. She’s a wellness, food, and lifestyle blogger. She’s known for her energetic spirit, kitchen dances, “haff stacks” which are insanely mouth watering pancake stacks, and more on her Instagram. Kennedy is someone we are inspired to share with Copina Co because she is someone who truly appreciates self-care and what it means to be well both on the inside and out. Her glowing personality is contagious, and we are so honoured to be interviewing her on our blog. What time do you start your evening routine?

I start winding down for the evening as soon as I finish up dinner, which is usually about 6:30-7!  I'd say the "start" is while I'm cleaning up my dishes. I enjoy listening to some chill lo-fi style music while I clean and reset my space for the evening. 


What does your evening routine look like?  

I start with cleaning my kitchen, then make myself a hot drink, the Cacao Calm is such a good evening drink! Then I will sit down and read or watch a tv show or some of my favorite Youtubers. After my drink is done, I head to my bathroom for a candlelit shower and really take my time to "wash away the day". After my shower, I feel so relaxed and begin doing my nightly skincare routine. I love to really take my time with this and always use my Gua Sha tool to loosen up my (very tight!) jaw and take some deep breaths. After skincare, I hop into bed and read some more, I try to limit my screen time in bed to give myself the best sleep possible. I turn on my meditation, the Calm app's "Drifting off with Gratitude" and drift off to sleep! 


What are your top 3 skincare products you use every night? 

The three products I use religiously are The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid + also their Niacinamide, Youth to The People's Dream Eye Cream, and Farmacy's Honeymoon Glow a couple times a week! 


How do you quiet your mind in the evenings? 

I quiet my mind by giving myself enough time to wind down each night. I find that if I rush through my routine, my thoughts and my mind are going a million miles per hour. If I allow myself to take my time to set the mood, dim the lights in my apartment, sip my drink slowly, and enjoy my evening routine, my mind quiets down.

Do you make a special drink/tonic that helps you sleep? 

I have a couple that I love and keep on heavy rotation - I love a simple night time tea, I've been loving Firepot Nomadic Tea's House of Peace, anything with a little CBD, and of course the Cacao Calm from Copina Co made with oat milk! 


What are your top 3 sleep tips? 

Allow yourself to have plenty of time to get ready and set up your mind for sleep, write lists for tomorrow to clear your head, meditate and take some deep breaths!
