Oh hello, gorgeous! Wake up with these delicious vegan collagen-boosting waffles. They’re vegan, gluten-free, dairy, free and made without refined sugar. Best part? They’re packed with collagen-boosting plant botanicals that help support strong hair, skin, and nails without the use of animal products – we’ll have a taste of that!*
There’s something nostalgic about eating waffles. Even as adults, smelling their sweet scent waft through the air and taking a warm bite of them right off the waffle iron brings us right back to childhood. What we didn’t have as kids, though, were superfood waffles packed with beauty benefits.
What makes these waffles collagen-boosting? We’re glad you asked! They’re made with our insanely delicious Original Beauty Plant-Based Collagen Boost blend that is packed with organic coconut milk powder and a blend of tremella mushroom extract, bamboo leaf extract, amla berry powder, and hyaluronic acid that work together to boost your body’s natural production of collagen, all from plants.* You can read more about how our collagen-boosting botanicals work here.
Do vegan superfood waffles taste good?
Umm… hello… we need to have a talk. Yes! They’re so ridiculously amazing we almost can’t even describe them. A lot of people hear the words “vegan” and “superfood” before a recipe and think it’s going to sacrifice taste for health benefits. That’s so not the case with this recipe! The coconut milk powder from the Original Beauty and the oat milk in the recipe make a lightly sweet and totally cozy waffle that’s just plain perfect.
How should you top your collagen boost waffles?
We’ve got you covered! You can go for the classic maple syrup route or get a bit more creative! We love a homemade raspberry chia jam which is made by heating chia seeds and frozen raspberries over the stove with a touch of lemon juice – just amazing! You can top your waffles with coconut whipped cream for a decadent dairy-free option.
Looking to enjoy your waffles outside of dessert time? You can have them with savory dishes like a vegan chicken fried cauliflower or a curry dish at night and even have a collagen boost waffle vegan ice cream sandwich for dessert. One of our favorite things ever is homemade chocolate peanut butter ice cream that you make by blending frozen bananas with our Original Beauty, chocolate chips, and creamy salted peanut butter – so so good.
What should you drink with your waffles?
Coffee, lattes, and plant mylks galore! There are so many awesome options for you when you’re looking to pair something with your waffles.
If you’re in a dessert mood, try this peanut butter hot cocoa with your waffle. Yes, you heard us right. Chocolate, peanut butter, and carbs galore because they are delicious and amazing together and you deserve something awesome in your way. This is basically a decadent superfood hot cocoa that’s made extra creamy with the addition of peanut butter whisked in. Top with whipped coconut cream and chocolate chips if you really want to party. Trust us here – dunk the waffle into the drink!
Looking to re-connect with your inner kid? Make a homemade chocolate cashew mylk! This recipe is insanely easy, totally fun, and just plain delicious. The addition of the Cacao Calm Beauty makes it a superfood chocolate mylk packed with antioxidants and vegan collagen-boosting benefits.*
A collagen-boosting coffee is great any time of year. We love this recipe hot or cold with these waffles. You basically take your favorite coffee and blend Original Beauty with either hot water or plant milk to make a superfood vegan coffee creamer to go along with your coffee.
In a holiday mood and looking for a coffee-free matcha drink that’s different from your basic pumpkin spice latte? Try a matcha pumpkin spice latte. Matcha green tea and pumpkin spice might seem like an odd mix but they’re totally amazing together. They set off each other’s flavors beautifully and make a drink that’s awesome all year long.
