Iced Raspberry Matcha Latte

Matcha goes just about with everything, we are kinda obsessed. Mainly because of its skin and hair benefits, but also because it tastes great! Recently we have been loving matcha with berries. The added sweetness and tangy flavor of fruit paired with our lightly sweetened matcha vegan collagen is perfectly refreshing any day of the week.

Turns out, raspberries are no exception! We love this iced raspberry matcha for a little antioxidant boost, but mainly for the flavor. The recipe is super simple. All you need are a handful of fresh raspberries, our vegan matcha collagen support blend, and some plant based whipping cream or creamer.

matcha collagen

In order to make this creamy and sweet beverage you'll want to begin by muddling your raspberries at the bottom of your glass. Then cover them with a handful of ice. You'll want to fill your glass up around 3/4 of the way full. In a separate glass, whisk together our matcha beauty blend with 1 cup of water and pour over the ice and raspberries. In another bowl, whip together your plant based cream with a whisk and top your latte!

The latte is really easy to whip together (literally!) but also comes with amazing skin benefits! For starters, raspberries are full of antioxidants which are molecules that neutralize free radicals within the body. Free radicals are compounds that can cause harm if levels are too high in the body. High levels of free radicals have been linked to certain illnesses. While your body has its own antioxidant defense against free radicals, consuming antioxidants through food can be beneficial.* Raspberries also contain vitamin C which is essential for the production of collagen. Collagen helps the skin maintain its elasticity and firmness!

Another benefit of this raspberry matcha latte is the fact that it uses our matcha vegan collagen support blend. All our vegan collagen support blends contain Amla berry which is an antioxidant powerhouse! Indian Gooseberry otherwise known as Amla, has been used in Ayurvedic herbal preparations, an ancient natural form of medicine that has been in practice for over 5,000 years. Amla berry is an antioxidant powerhouse rich in vitamin-c, vitamin-b, calcium, iron, and beta carotene. * Research shows amla berries help enhance food digestion, balance hormones, fortify the liver, nourish the brain and mental functioning, and reduce inflammation. It also improves skin quality, promotes healthier hair, and enhances muscle tone.

So the next time you are in need of a little afternoon caffeine kick, try out this antioxidant boosting matcha latte for an even better skin-boost too!
