Our Matcha Beauty Chocolate Chip Pancakes are ridiculously fluffy and light while also full of so much flavor and good-for-you deliciousness. After one bite you’ll be asking yourself how it’s even possible to make pancakes this good!
What is Matcha?
Matcha is a vibrant green powder made from dried whole tea leaves that we source from Japan. This tea is unique because you consume the entire leaf that has been ground into a fine powder instead of steeping the leaf in water. This allows you to consume more nutrients than regular green tea. Matcha is high in antioxidants, chlorophyll, and contains the amino acid L-Theanine, which works to promote brain function, concentration, and a sense of calm.* L-Theanine can also help prevent the caffeine crash that we often associate with drinking coffee. That’s a powerful little leaf!
What can you pair with these perfect pancakes?
Looking for something to sip while you make our Matcha Beauty Chocolate Chip Pancakes? Here are a few drink recipes that we think would pair perfectly with a plate of pancakes.
If you’re feeling the matcha vibe, we recommend a Tahini Matcha Latte. This beautiful beverage is super creamy and wonderfully rich while still being energizing and light. Tahini lends a subtle unique flavor that really takes this latte to the next level.
We think you’d like our Calming Caffeine-Free Ashwagandha Cacao Latte if you’re looking for something a little sweeter to really bring out the chocolate chips in these pancakes or avoiding caffeine. It’s a delicious way to de-stress as you dig in to your pancakes. Plus, it tastes like a grown-up hot chocolate.
For the morning traditionalists, you can’t go wrong with a Collagen-Boosting Iced Coffee. This is the recipe for you if you’re an avid coffee drinker and are looking to add beauty benefits to your favorite beverage.
If you really can’t decide between matcha or coffee this morning, or perhaps you’d just like to try something new, our Matcha Coffee Latte was made for you. There’s no need to play favorites between matcha and coffee, especially when our Matcha Beauty Blend is adding an extra beauty boost to your morning bev. You get the best of both worlds all in one delicious drink.
For something extra indulgent, you could whip up a piping hot mug of Peppermint Hot Cocoa. The freshness of the peppermint is a perfectly complement to matcha, and of course you can’t go wrong with a little extra chocolate. This drink is extra cozy and practically begging to be next to your plate of pancakes.
