Matcha Tahini Latte! If you know me, you know I have a SLIGHT matcha obsession. I used to be a 2-3 (ok maybe more)coffee-a-day person for the longest time. It’s when I started getting really terrible cystic acne a few years ago that I did my research and realized how coffee affected my skin. It dried me out, gave me big energy peaks and crashes, and actually made my acne worse! Switching to matcha and adaptogenic drinks made a BIG difference for me. Mixing up the typical matcha latte today with this drink! It’s creamy and wonderfully rich while still being energizing and light.
Tahini Matcha Latte
- - 2/3 cup hot oat milk or almond milk
- - 1tsp ceremonial grade matcha
- - 1/3 cup hot water
- -1 date (optional)
- - 1 tsp tahini
- - a dash of sesame seeds
How to cook Tahini Matcha Latte
- Add all ingredients through the dates into the blender. Add half of the tahini and use the rest as a topping. Blend on high for at least 30 seconds so the mixture is combined and the milk gets nice and frothy. Consider holding longer if you're using a date in your latte.
- Pour everything into your favorite mug, then add the rest of the tahini in the shape of a swirl on top with a bit of sesame seeds. Enjoy!
