STRAWBERRY MATCHA LATTE INGREDIENTS

LETS TALK MATCHA

Matcha has gotten a lot of attention over the last few years, and rightfully so. It's been used in traditional Japanese tea ceremonies for over 800 years, and its popularity is making its way around the world greatly due to all of the benefits it has.

Matcha is an antioxidant powerhouse made of finely ground whole leaf green tea.
As opposed to soaking the leaves in water how you would normally prepare a green tea, by blending these leaves into a powder you're consuming all the nutrients at their most potent potential.

Antioxidants are naturally occurring chemicals in our bodies that help to fight diseases, prevent aging, and protect our cells from free radicals. Matcha is one of the most antioxidant-rich foods that exist having 14 times more antioxidants than blueberries, 6 times more than dark chocolate, and 12 times more antioxidants than regular green tea.

Matcha is also packed with skin-boosting benefits. Its anti-inflammatory properties fight against redness that leads to acne and rosacea.* Matcha is also anti-aging and works to reduce signs of skin damage and wrinkles.*

This creamy and delicious powder is even catching the attention of die-hard coffee lovers. Matcha's naturally occurring caffeine provides a clean and sustained energy boost without the mid-day coffee crash making it the perfect morning drink or afternoon pick-me-up. Matcha is also rich in L-Theanine, an amino acid that works to promote a brain function, concentration, and sense of calmness without the nervous energy or jitters.

TIPS AND TRICKS TO PREPARING A STRAWBERRY MATCHA LATTE

USE HIGH-QUALITY MATCHA

Copina Co. Matcha Collagen Beauty Powder is a creamy and delicious blend of skin-boosting research-backed botanicals like moringa, matcha, and hyaluronic acid. Each serving works to promote collagen synthesis and skin hydration for healthy hair, skin, joints, and nails. We believe you shouldn't have to consume animal by-products to achieve glowing skin and hair so our Matcha Collagen Beauty powder is always vegan, gluten-free, and grain-free.

MIX MATCHA IN HOT WATER

Mixing matcha in hot water enhances the sweet and aromatic flavor and ensures the powder fully dissolves into your drink. Let the water cool until just hot enough to touch before pouring into a glass that isn't heat safe.

USE A BLENDER OR HAND FROTHER

Copina Co. Matcha Beauty Collagen Powder is formulated with plant-based botanicals like coconut, tremella mushroom, and hyaluronic acid and works best when blended with a hand frother or blender.

STORE MATCHA IN A COOL AND DRY PLACE

If matcha is your daily go-to like us, we recommend storing it in a cool and dry place. When exposed to humidity, matcha powder can become clumpy and hard to dissolve properly.

WASH YOUR STRAWBERRIES

Strawberries are a part of The Dirty Dozen. A list put out every year by the Environmental Working Group that depicts the highest levels of pesticides used by farmers in crops. Every year strawberries hit the top of the list, so it's especially important to wash strawberries before you eat them to ensure there is no leftover pesticide residue.

To wash strawberries place in a cold bowl of water, add salt, or a couple of dashes of apple cider vinegar. Let sit for at least 15 minutes, rinse with cold water, and gently pat dry.

HOW TO MAKE STRAWBERRY MATCHA LATTE

Slice then mash the strawberries on a cutting board, then place the mashed strawberries at the bottom of your glass. Frozen strawberries that have been defrosted also work just fine, but we love the delicate taste of fresh strawberries.

Next in a glass, add in the mashed strawberries and top with enough ice to where the matcha layer would be separated from the strawberries.

Pour in your milk of choice. We used oat milk for it's slightly sweet and creamy taste but use whichever milk you prefer.

In a separate container, use a hand frother, blender, or a vigorously stir by hand to combine the hot water and Matcha Beauty Powder.

Lastly, pour Matcha Beauty Powder mixture into your glass over the oat milk. Add a straw, and stir to combine.
