We love these sweet and savory bowl for breakfast as it comes packed with nutrients like carbs, antioxidants, and protein. This recipe is super easy to heat up, similar to our Carrot Cake Buckwheat oats or any other hot oatmeal recipe you might enjoy in the morning. We love its sweet, light flavor from the quinoa mixed with coconut cream, chocolate, and the added berries we top it with.
What makes the bowl really fun is adding in our cacao calm blend. Our cacao calm blend is like adding in a scoop of cacao or cocoa powder but without any need for guilt. Once you have your base of the cooked quinoa you'll add in our cacao calm blend, maple syrup, and vanilla. Stir until everything is blended well and maybe add a dash of milk if you want it creamier! If you decide to add in a scoop of protein powder, we suggest adding more milk in.
The fun part begins with the toppings. We like to add in nut butter for protein and some dark chocolate for added antioxidants. You can also add in banana, maybe blueberries, and honey or agave if you want an extra sweet kick to your bowl.

Cacao Calm Breakfast Quinoa Bowl
This breakfast quinoa bowl is the perfect savory and sweet breakfast bowl. We love it because it perfectly combines protein, antioxidants, and satisfies an AM sweet tooth. Plus, with an added beauty-boost, it helps support your hair, skin, and nails through plant botanicals.*
1 cup uncooked white quinoa
1 cup water
1 cup coconut cream
1 pinch sea salt
1 scoop Copina Co Cacao Calm Beauty
2 TBSP coconut sugar
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
2-3 squares vegan dark chocolate
Thoroughly rinse quinoa in a fine mesh strainer
Add water, coconut cream, and a pinch of salt, to a small saucepan and stir. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to low and cook for 20-25 minutes, uncovered, stirring occasionally.
Once the liquid is absorbed and the quinoa is tender, remove from heat and add cocoa powder, maple syrup and vanilla. Stir to combine. You can add a little milk if you like it creamier.
Top with banana, blueberry, your favorite nut butter, and the dark chocolate squares.
