Here Are Our Top 5 Favorite Smoothie Recipes:
1. Vanilla Avocado Protein Smoothie
Our Vanilla Avocado Protein Smoothie is a great way to add greens and protein to your daily diet. Adding avocado helps keep a creamy texture without affecting the taste of your smoothie! Avocados are naturally high in omega-3 fatty acids and other essential nutrients like magnesium, potassium, and vitamins B6, C, E, and K, making them a great add-in to boost the nutritional value of your smoothie.
We also love adding a scoop of our Vanilla Plant-Based Collagen Boost Blend to provide even more superfoods to support internal health and well-being. Plant-based ingredients like biotin, gotu kola, and amla berry are full of vitamins and antioxidants that nourish cells, while bamboo extract, hyaluronic acid and tremella mushroom work to provide deep hydration and the foundation for new collagen production.
2. Mint Chip Vegan Collagen Boost Smoothie
Our Mint Chip smoothie is a great dessert if you like some mint chip ice cream every night! Don’t be scared by the frozen cauliflower in this smoothie- it doesn’t add any flavor but helps make the smoothie more thick and creamy, while the fiber will help you feel full for longer.
Cacao is another great superfood to include in your diet- it’s like chocolate but a bit better for you! Cacao comes from the same original fruit as chocolate (the cacao plant, aka theobroma cacao) but is processed differently, resulting in a different flavor profile and different nutritional values. Cacao is processed with low heat, making it a nutrient-dense and antioxidant-rich food that contains over 300 compounds that support our health and well-being. It is an excellent source of nutrients including healthy fats, vitamins, minerals, and proteins.
3. Vanilla Beauty Tropical Smoothie
Summer might be coming to a close, but you’ll taste it in every sip of our Vanilla Beauty Tropical Smoothie.
This Vanilla Beauty Tropical Smoothie gets an added beauty boost from our Vanilla Plant-Based Collagen Boost Blend and adds a deliciously sweet and creamy flavor. Plus, your hair, skin, and nails will love the benefits from this smoothie too, thanks to our herbalist-approved blend of plant botanicals.* Amla berry, hyaluronic acid, bamboo extract, and tremella mushroom work together to help your body naturally synthesize more collagen, resulting in stronger hair and nails and more supple and moisturized skin.*
4. Vegan Peanut Butter Cup Smoothie
Our Peanut Butter Cup Smoothie is another way to get in your sweet tooth time while also nourishing your body. We’ve made sure it has no added sugar, but all the taste! You won’t even notice we snuck in some spinach.
This Vegan Peanut Butter Cup smoothie gets its yummy, rich cocoa flavor from our Cacao Calm Plant-Based Collagen Boost Blend. Our Cacao Calm blend is made with organic cacao powder- it’s similar to the cocoa powder you see in the supermarket, but cacao powder is processed at a lower heat so that the cocoa retains more nutrients (antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, even proteins!) that makes cacao much more beneficial for your body than store-bought cocoa powder. Plus, our collagen-supporting blend is made with organic KSM-66 ashwagandha root extract to help support relaxation, focus, and help you de-stress.
5. Vegan Chocolate Brownie Smoothie
If you are ever crazing a brownie but don’t want to turn on the oven, check out our vegan chocolate brownie smoothie. It is low sugar, but packs all the flavor.
Curious about what makes this smoothie extra thick and creamy? Flaxseed and oatmeal add volume and fiber to this smoothie while also providing a generous amount of healthy fats and carbs to help keep you full. Flaxseed is full of essential omega-3 fatty acids that are important for heart health, and healthy skin, and supports normal hormone function. It is also a great vegan source of protein. Peanut butter lends a slightly nutty flavor but makes the smoothie velvety and rich, while also being packed with protein and healthy fats. We do prefer oat milk for this recipe as it helps make it thick and creamy
Need tips for making the perfect smoothie? We’ve got ‘em! We included a list of our favorite smoothie tips and a roundup 5 favorite easy and beauty-boosting smoothie recipes.
To make a smoothie thicker:
Use frozen fruit! Frozen bananas are a great base for almost any smoothie, but we also love adding frozen mango, blueberries, or even avocado to thicken up a smoothie. This might sound a little crazy, but one of our favorite ways to thicken a smoothie and sneak in some extra veggies is to throw in some frozen zucchini or cauliflower. We *promise* you can’t taste it, but it works wonders to make a smoothie thick and ice-creamy!
For a creamier smoothie:
Use a creamy non-dairy milk or non-dairy yogurt instead of water. We love oat milk or cashew milk for a super creamy smoothie. You can also add in a tablespoon of coconut cream for a velvety texture. Avocados and bananas can also be used to make a smoothie creamier!
To pack in the protein:
Add a scoop of your favorite vegan protein powder in whatever flavor you like! If you’d like to skip the protein powder, a few tablespoons of non-dairy protein yogurt, a tablespoon of peanut butter, or hemp seeds will also pack a protein punch.
To give it a caffeine boost:
Replace water with coffee (if it suits the vibe of your smoothie - try this Cold Brew & Cacao Beauty Smoothie!) or add in a teaspoon of matcha.
For a superfood boost:
Add in a teaspoon of chia or flax seeds for extra fiber and omega-3s. Try adding a handful of spinach or kale to your smoothie for added vitamins and minerals. Oh, and definitely add a scoop of your favorite Plant-Based Collagen Boost to support and protect your body’s natural collagen production process and promote optimal hair, skin, nail, and joint health!
